Avec ce troisième album, la Baracande prolonge son exploration des complaintes transmises par Virginie Granouillet, chanteuse et dentellière de Haute-Loire. Le groupe questionne la nature de ces récits violents : espace rituel pour partager l'indicible, ou bien épouvantail pour repousser le pire, ce qui ne doit pas advenir ? L'habillage musical obstiné et entêtant élaboré par la Baracande dessine un contrepoint sonore à ces chansons qui continuent à nous interpeler à travers le temps.
